Are some things unknowable?

This exhibition is based on the TOK core theme, knowledge and knower. When we don’t know certain things, that is because there are constraints that prevent us from gaining knowledge.
Lack of evidence can be one of such constraints while some degree of uncertainty can be another; in some cases, we don’t have power, or capability, to attain certain knowledge. As knowers, we make every effort to overcome those constraints; nevertheless, we may not obtain complete knowledge but only partial knowledge in the end. At other times, we may not even be able to attempt any feasible measure to overcome those constraints because they just seem insurmountable; in such situations, we may feel hopeless and throw our hands up in resignation. In this exhibition, the following three objects are specifically chosen to demonstrate different types of such constraints that prevent us from obtaining complete knowledge: time constraint, loss of the original source of information, and inadequate human capacity…
