Introduction

In a recent day when I learned about motion in IB Physics, I got an opportunity to watch
an interesting a YouTube video that shows a person riding a slide at a different height and it
shows how much distance can he fly in different height. However, according to my
knowledge in IB physics I learned that there are other factors that could affect the speed and
slow down the speed of the object even though the height increases such as friction or air
resistance on the object. Taking that into consideration that video was very surprising
because the speed of the man was constantly increasing as the height increased. Therefore,
this initially got my attention and made me to know about the relationship with height and
speed. Therefore, I was curious about how different heights would change the speed, for this
reason that I decided to base my physics IA on investigating one of the main factors that
impacts the speed of the car, the height of inclined plane. This investigation will focus on the
research question “How does the height of an inclined plane vary the average speed of a
