The investigation aims to explore the angle that makes the arrow to travel a maximum
displacement by comparing an ideal projectile motion and projectile motion with air resistance
and figuring out effectiveness of air-resistance in archery. The topic is significance in terms of real life situation. The traditional Bows and Arrows are common weapons which used from a
long history. Nowadays, there is a archery in the Olympics which is slightly different from Korean traditional bows and arrow. From the Rio Olympics 2016, I was interested in how
Korean archery players shoot accurately the target from a long displacement, and also how
people shot their enemy using bows and arrows in history. In order to do that, it is significant to figure out the maximum displacement that people can shoot. It will form an Ideal projectile
motion if there is no air-resistance and wind acting upon the arrow. However, I will also take air resistance account for comparing with ideal projectile motion and making it more realistic.
Therefore, the focus of the investigation is considering air resistance of projectile motion
