### Modeling an equation that represents the division of day and night to investigate the average sunlight coverage on Earth.

#### Introduction

“Home” is a term that evokes special memories and emotions. To me, home means much more than just a place where I sleep and eat. The numerous connotations and qualities of “home” make it difficult for me to pinpoint a single place I would call my home. I was born in the small island city of Geoje, South Korea and it was my only home until I moved to Seoul. That marked the beginning of my journey, I never settled down in a city for long because of my father’s job. Moving constantly from one city to another, one country to another. I had a new home each time I flew to a different place. Leaving behind loved ones and unforgettable memories was challenging, but from these experiences I was able to grow and move forward in life. I have spent almost half of my life away from the country of my passport, immersed in the diverse cultures of countries such as Kazakhstan, Colombia, and China.

Throughout my fifteen years of living as a Third Culture Kid, I have flown back and forth between multiple countries hundreds of times. Sometimes with purposes of visiting my grandparents back in my hometown, other times for traveling about the world.
